UNIT 2: SPEAKING ACCURATELY
In this unit, we learn how to speaks words correctly,accurately and fluently like the word's original sound in English slang not Malay slang. Learning this makes us more confident to say the words in front of tourist from the other countries. It is funny when we realised that we did not using the word's original sound. Let's check it out, what did we learned in this unit
DIPHTHONGS. Diphthongs is a vowel sound in which the tongue changes position to produce the sound of two vowels. Weird when it is spells that way.It has weird spelling and alphabets. It is hard to understand it at first, but I am getting better to understand it when My eyes going crazy like Hinata in that picture. LET US SEE THE NOTES. 'Don't look a gift hots into the mouth', 'Where there's smoke there's fire', 'cowards die many times'. Those are the example of the diphthongs in the picture.
This time we have to learn to say the words with the right sound
Word stress. What is word stress? All word that have more than one syllable have word stress. One syllable is longer and louder than the other. Word stress plays an important role of correct pronounciation. For example, CHI-na, com-MIT-tee, and so on.
